It's amazing what a new job position does for ones self esteem! New guinea pig first one ever, Named him after the Titan God, Prometheus. New Aussahoula (Aussie/Catahoula leopard cross) puppy named her after the Goddess of wisdom, Athena. The new rats (Atlas and Nero) approve of the guinea pig, but only in small bursts, and it sorta ends when Prome' starts after their tails. I didn't think guinea pigs could move that fast and jump at that. I'm working as a vet assistant which is a blast, I love my boss, I love my co-workers, and I love the challenge every day I go to work. Even if it starts at ridiculous hours.. 5am wake up call, psh. 1hr

Been a long while since I posted a journal entry, but from what I found out this morning I think deserves some sort of... something.. I found out this morning that one of my beloved animals.. small as he may have been, passed on a day ago. Since I've been visiting in MA. I've been.. out of it to say the least. I kept up with my animals regularly this past week since I've been gone six dogs were okay, the horses, cows, pig and piglets, the birds and cats... Then I finally asked about Duke and Sandman.. Duke was probably a 3-4lb big black rat with white paws and a white patch on his belly, Loved laying on his back in his cage on his blanket
